Total Charging Cost
$5.40
Adding 36.0 kWh of energy to your battery.
How this calculation works
The formula to determine your home EV charging cost is:
(Battery Capacity × Charge Percentage) × Electricity Rate = Total Cost
For example, charging a 60kWh battery from 20% to 80% requires 36.0kWh of energy. At a local utility rate of $0.15 per kWh, the total cost comes out to$5.40. Note that this calculation represents the pure mathematical energy transfer; real-world costs may be ~10% higher due to normal energy loss during the AC-to-DC conversion process.
